Eid milad un nabi

The Prophet’s birthday, also known as Eid milad un nab, is an official holiday in Pakistan. Sunni Muslims observe the birth of the Prophet on 12 Rabie I (the third month of the Islamic calendar) while Shi’a Muslims observe it on the 17th of Rabie I and coincide with the birth of their sixth imam Ja’far al-Sadiq.

Special programs are being developed to advance curiosity and highlight different aspects of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Public and private buildings are beautifully illuminated with colored lights to express joy during the holy day.

All the streets and streets of the city, including bazaars and shopping malls, were decorated with lights and banners bearing inscriptions on the Prophet’s birthday.

The government of Sindh announced on December 1 an official holiday.

The Prophet’s birthday will be celebrated throughout the country with religious zeal and enthusiasm on Friday, December 1st
